Again, valuable training, time and materials will be provided to help develop their skills in this area. Where suitable shoots arise in London, the studio manager will often be hired on set to work as an photographic assistant, loading film and helping with lighting. A generous amount of training, along with time and materials for self-experimentation, will be provided to encourage the studio manager’s printing abilities. This will be as an assistant, not the main person responsible for printing the photographer’s work. The studio manager will also carry out darkroom printing in the photographer’s private darkroom.
